Rascal came to us when his owner unfortunately passed
away.  He had been loved & well cared for many years so
absolutely loves & trusts all people.  He & is brother were hit
by a car a few years ago & Rascal lost his leg.  This has not
stopped him in the least!  Rascal is a phenomenal dog with
great manners & a sweet disposition.  He is house-trained
and gets along well with all furry critters.  Rascal would love
a second chance at another wonderful home!

chance to prove it .She would make an excellent companion to
someone who loves to walk/run daily. She is crate trained, house
trained & loads well for a car ride. She does have an intense prey drive,

This handsome lad was rescued from
death row-- perhaps he was turned in to a
shelter because he is hearing
impaired....being hearing impaired is NO
REASON to be put down.
He is great with children. Roddick plays
well with other dogs & cats. He is
excellent on a leash & LOVES to explore
on his walks.
He goes on hikes with his foster Mom--he
is not allowed off leash like the others but
he is on a 20ft. lead & does well on it.
He knows 4 signs & there is so much
more to learn & he is ready & excited to
do so!!!

BOOKER

We rescued Booker & his 7 litter mates from underneath an abandoned
home. Booker was the most shy of them all. Well, that was almost 2 years
ago....Booker has made an about face. His personality has surfaced & he is
quite charming. He enjoys a car ride & sleeping on the couch with his foster
Mom. He loves his trips to the park to go hiking with his foster family dogs.
Booker is quite slow to warm up to strangers... But when he trusts you, he
develops a solid bond with you that is hard to break.... Are you up for a

Lady refined indeed is this girl. She was a cage mate to a German
Shepherd in a high-kill shelter.  Another group was set to rescue her
cage mate & 4 other dogs. They were told that if they could not take
Miss Virginia as well, she would be put down...they scooped her up &
called one of our volunteers in hopes that we could help.
Miss Virginia loves her foster family's dogs & cats. She plays well &
LOVES to go for car rides. PLEASE, open her heart & home to this lady.
She will snuggle with you while you watch the snow fall....y'all
celebrate the New Year together.

This little spit fire is an absolute joy to be around. She loves her
foster dogs~but does tend to assert herself or at least try. She
"gooses" the cats & then in turn they curl up to snuggle with her.

improvement ~ 2 of his toes are healed & he is not wearing
the cast now...only a supportive bandage. Chico won't be
available for adoption for a few weeks, but feel free to

Lady Cordelia is a little lady with spunk. You have heard "great
things come in small packages"......well.....SHE is the real deal.
She is fostered with all sizes & shapes of dogs and she holds
her own. She is fine with cats as well.
A little miffed at first if they are bigger than she is ~
but she soon gets over it & plays with them as well.
If  she desires your attention, she will attempt to capture it in
any way she sees fit: posing ever so cute,with her little tongue
out or by giving a little vocal yip or two to see if you are paying
attention. Either way she will steal your heart.
She is crate trained but will fuss at first....she wants to be
included & worries that she will miss out on the fun.
Place a nice chew toy with her and she is "good to go."
Cordelia means "jewel of the sea" & she is in fact a treasure
to be cherished.

His personality shines in the home environment, but he "pouts"

This gentle lady smiled the moment she was loaded in the car
with her 7 pups from the high kill shelter. She knew she & her
little family were bound for greater things.
Xiamara is so easy going. She does well with all the dogs & cats
in her foster home. In fact she, Lady Cordelia & Miss Virginia &
Lady Lou run around in the snow & prance about together.
She LOVES riding in the car.
She is crate trained and house trained.
If you want a "lap dog", she is the lady for you....she snuggles &
snuggles & snuggles.
Xiamara is not quite ready for adoption~ she was a skeleton
when she was rescued....but with a supervised diet, we are
getting her back up to a healthy weight for her.
